Five acts to see at British Summer Time Festival

With a blink of an eye, festival season has come around and BST Hyde Park has released their epic star-studded line up set to run across six days. Opening with the incredible vocalist Celine Dion on the 5th July and closing with the entertaining Robbie Williams on the 14th July, we will provide you with the lowdown of the top five acts to grace Hyde Park. 

Black Eyed Peas

Coming back strong after their hiatus Black Eyed Peas rejuvenated their sound and their lineup, this time without lead singer Fergie and brought their 2018 released album Masters Of The Sun Vol.1. A more socially conscious album it homed into their Hip Hop roots and they gave well assorted project. The trio also embarked on their first UK tour in eight years! If you didn’t get a chance to check them out they will be performing on the final day of the festival. 

Blood Orange

Dev Hynes also known as Blood Orange has a transformative sound and artistic soundscape that falls between Soul, Jazz and R&B. His experimental music finely blending a heavy 80s influence with a contemporary twist. Steadily gaining one million plus views on videos such as Charcoal Baby, Chewing Gum ft A$AP Rocky and Project Pat and Augustine he pairs each track with creative and enthralling accompanying visuals. You can catch him on the penultimate day, keep Saturday 13th in your diary.

Florence and the Machine

With a catalogue of music that has been built over the last decade Florence and the Machine take the headline slot on Saturday 13th June. Having an impeccable list of chart topping tracks such as Dog Days Are Over, You’ve Got The Love and Spectrum (Say My Name), they have received a vast amount of success over the years and to this day they still continue to push on with their legacy.

Marlon Williams

Building up his name in the blues and folk circuit the New Zealand native is set to join the lineup alongside Florence and The Machine. His stripped back sound and effortless vocals is definitely worth a watch. He has previously supported Bruce Springsteen on tour and had a cameo in A Star is Born, which featured leading stars Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga

Stevie Wonder

The legend that is Stevie Wonder will be headlining on Saturday 6th of July. Listed as “The Stevie Wonder Song Party: A Celebration of Life, Love & Music”, fans from all destinations will be making their way to Hype Park to participate on this day, which without a doubt will be unforgettable. He will be joined by special guest Lionel Richie
