I understand that Future has had a restless 2016 having released two mixtapes, Purple Reign and Project E.T. (with DJ Esco), his EVOL album as well as partnering Drake on the Summer Sixteen Tour. However I can’t help but ask, where the hell is the second instalment to him and Zaytoven’s critically acclaimed project Beast Mode? I’m past impatient. I guess it’s just fortunate that Hendrix has released a few songs in recent months to ease any tension I’m sure fans are feeling.
As we near the end of an eventful year of music, Future decided to make his latest statement a bold one with the cash anthem That’s A Check. To accompany Atlanta’s Hip-Hop hit maker, who better than the money-hungry MMG boss Rick Ross as a high profile feature?
While both bossed up rappers have the likeminded approach of flexing through their lyrics, the eye-catching visuals directed by Eif Rivera acts as the icing on the cake. Topped off with red lighting to set the mood, Future and Ricky Rozay show-0ff their glistening jewellery as they turn up in a luxury apartment surrounded by beautiful women.
